The Uppers go to Ibiza! What’s your favorite Balearic Island?

June 29, 2017 / Flat age society, Travel

Have we mentioned that at The Uppers we are in love with Ibiza? Magical energy of the island, chick and stylish people, relaxed atmosphere, coolest beach clubs, unforgettable sunsets, romantic restaurants… its all about the GOOD VIBES! We can´t resist going there this year again… Will you join us?

Despite the white island, there are other 3 magical that form of the Balearic Islands… Let’s make Balearic tour and visit all of them?

Let´s start our trip with our beloved IBIZA where, as mentioned, you can find it all there  – clubbing with the best world DJs, romantic restaurants with spectacular sunset views, local shopping and international luxury brands, crystal water beaches, coolest people, never stopping beach parties… Breakfast at Cappuccino or Chiringuito at Es Cavallet, Lunch and sunset at Cotton Beach Club, dinner at Sa Punta restaurant with impressive view to Dalt Vila, day party at Blue Marlin, sunbathing at Cala Tarida, Cala Conta or Cala Moli… –  these are recommended and beloved placed by The Uppers (find more tips: http://www.theuppers.com/the-uppers-white-weekend-in-ibiza/).

So let´s get to the boat now and move to FORMENTERA! White sandy beaches and bathing in turquoise waters… It is often called the paradise on the Earth! Formentera is situated just next to Ibiza, 30 minutes away, however it´s different – it´s an island for people wanting to relax in absolute seclusion, an island for individualists… Sleepy harbor towns and colorful markets – for those we like to lose a track of time.

Ibiza´s little sister has been compared to the Caribbean. The sand on the beaches is bright white and cotton soft. Rustic beach bars known as chiringuitos sell cocktails and fresh fish dishes, and beachfront buildings are banned by island conservation law. Sunbathers in Formentera don’t keep office hours. Instead, they stick around on the sands until late evening to watch the sunsets. Its all about RELAX and romantic mood there in Formentera.

Do you feel more like having some movement after Formentera relaxing time? MALLORCA is our next stop – 4-hour boat trip from the ¨Balearic Caribbean¨. It’s the biggest sister of the Balearic beautiful family.

Mallorca’s Beach Clubs take a day of sunbathing and relaxing to a new level. Expect stylish surroundings, comfy loungers, cool restaurant and bars, and other facilities, pools, massages and other treatments, chill-out music and more… Escape the madding crowd and check out Hotel Barceló Formentor’s Beach Club, Palma’s Nassau Beach Club, Purobeach, Virtual Club and Las Terrazas in Illetes, Bardot at Gran Meliá de Mar, Cala Llamp’s Gran Folies Beach Club, or the conveniently located Mood Beach Club.

Don´t miss the capital visit – Palma. The so-called ‘pearl of the Mediterranean’ is today more beautiful than ever, and the Mediterranean flair which attracts millions of visitors each year can be felt in every corner. In 2015, ‘The Sunday Times’ named it the world’s best place to live.

One of the island’s glamour spots – Puerto Portals is the place to see and be seen and, during the summer, you’re more than likely to catch a glimpse of a few famous faces. Paris Hilton, Brad Pitt, Jim Carrey, Jenson Button and Bill Gates are among the famous people who have been seen at Puerto Portals – it is often compared with Puerto Banus in Marbella.

The marina has more than 600 berths and is where members of the jet-set like to moor their gleaming boats. And it’s easy to see why. Just a few minutes after stepping onto the quayside, there are many designer boutiques, impressive offices housing prime real estate and yacht agents, plus numerous places to enjoy a drink or something to eat, while watching the world go by.

And here next goes Mallorca´s little sister – MENORCA! The last but not the least… Menorca is a beautiful, downtempo holiday location ideal for those who want to slow down for a few days. Menorca has a wealth of idyllic sandy beaches. Among the best is Son Bou, the island’s longest and, further west, the narrow strip of soft sand known as Santo Tomas. It hardly lacks for other forms of natural beauty either: in 1993 the island was declared a Biosphere Reserve, becoming a select group of places where nature and people can live in happy communion with one another.

One of our favorite places in the island – Cova d’en Xoroi at Cala’n Porte. It is a spectacular bar with outside terraces is set within natural caves 25 metres above sea level. Watching the sunset while sipping a cool drink, accompanied by ambient music and breathtaking sea views, is one of the most memorable pleasures on the island that can’t fail to impress. By night, the caves are transformed into a very popular night club with live performances and playing all the latest dance music until sunrise.

Beach clubbing and sunset viewing in Ibiza? Relaxed escape to white sand and crystal water beaches in Formentera? Historical visit in Palma, shopping in Puerto Portals and comfy lounges in Mallorca? Slow life in Menorca´s ¨calas¨ and partying in the caves? What sounds like a perfect plan for you? Which is your kind of island of these 4 Balearic sisters?

WELCOME SUMMER 2017! Can´t wait to live your romances…
